Gabriel x Angel! Reader Where'd you go? Part One

"Hey Gabriel!" You yelled as you landed behind him. The rest of your Garrison following behind. "Oh Hey there _____! Just got back from patrol I see?" Gabriel replied turning to see your long Smokey gray wings being pulled in behind your back. "Yup! I am just about to get my own Garrison. After I check in with Michael. I will be promoted." You said as all the other angels that landed started to leave to report back in. "Really now? And only yesterday I remember I was teaching you how to fight demons in the garden. Oh! I better get going Lucifer and I are going to finish our Sword sparring today." Gabriel announced as he was about to head over to Lucifer's. "Well good luck with that I best be reporting back to Michael." You said as you turned around and headed to Michael’s office to report in.

After Gabriel had went away you hurried to Michael’s office excited you finally get your own Garrison to lead. Being a little clumsy you ran into another angel that was walking down the hall and ended up falling backwards. Right before you could hit the ground a pair of hands latched onto your wrist to stop you from hitting the floor. "You okay there?" He asked as you regained your balanced and stepped away two feet to get a good look at him. "U-uh yeah sorry about running into you. I was kinda in a hurry." You blushed as he gave a light chuckle. "You should get going then don't want to be late." He said as he started walking past you. Right as he was walking away you couldn't help but notice a strange marking on his right hand that had been burned. Which you pegged a little weird for angels mostly because they would heal after getting wounded and hardly ever were there scars and the only time there were scars was when wounded by an angelic weapon. Maybe he used his grace too much and its taking longer to heal was your final thought as you arrived at Michael’s door.

Knocking on his door you hear Michael yell the normal "come in" and enter the office. "Oh _____ back from the patrol already? How'd it go?" He asked as he turned to look out of his office window overshadowing the large garden outside with a water fountain in the middle surrounded by various flowers bringing out the color in everything object around them. "It went splendid there were no demons spotting and no one was injured." You gave the quick reply. "That’s splendid news. Think you are finally ready for your own Garrison." He asked as he turned from looking outside to look towards you. "Certainly Sir." Confidence laced in your words as you gave a small confident smile as he smiled at the obvious joy and confidence laced voice. "Well they will be new to the garrisons so they may be a little inexperienced. So you might have to bear with the questions and curiosity." He said with a little chuckle as you simply jumped up and down before you jumped on him bringing him into a tight hug. "Yes of course!" You practically yelled as you let go and walked towards the door. "Oh you will also have Castiel in your garrison since he is finally able to join and since he already knows you I have decided to put him with you. You may go I will call you if a new mission is ready you and your garrison shall meet in three days." Michael said as he turned back to look out the window once again. "Okay sir" Chuckling to yourself as you slowly started walking out and towards the exit to go and started your trek on to your own garden.

Unlike most angels gardens your garden had a spot that over looked the earth and you would go there and watch over your fathers growing new creations with interest as they started to evolve into more and more each with an individual purpose every single one different from the last. They were always wonderful to watch when you had the time now a days. Lately you haven't been able to watch them since you had to go and patrol the outside more and more frequently from oncoming demon attacks. As you entered your garden you went to gaze over the edge and watch the creations having nothing better to do. Knowing Gabriel was with Lucifer sparring till one of them is hurt. Which would lead them going to you to tend to deep wounds that would take longer to heal than the other small ones and that Michael had to deal with all commands and such there was never any time like there used to be.

You laid down and blankly stared down drifting off into thoughts of back when you met the three. Michael and Lucifer were taking Gabriel to watching over the fledglings for his first time. They all sat together and watch as the young angels started to learn to take flight. For a while you had gotten use to your wings but when you still had to learn to hold your weight while flying which you ended up crash landing in a tree and hitting your right wing on a branch as you plummeted down. With all the noise of snapping twigs and a loud thump Gabriel got up quickly to see a pile of dust at the bottom of a tall tree and noticed a small form within the massive cloud. "H-hey are you alright!" He yelled as he crept closer as precaution to not scare the young fledgling. You started coughing as you tried to sit up but let out a pain choked growl as you slumped down trying to refrain from crying as your right wing was lower than the left one and it hurt to try to move it. "Michael! Lucifer! There’s a hurt fledgling!" Gabriel yelled as he ran over to you and looked you over to check all the cuts and scrapes most healing quicker than the normal rate of your age. "What happened?" He asked as he saw you try to sit up once again and that was when he noticed that your right wing had a large gash and blood starting to seep through the deep cut. Gabriel wasted no time in waiting for the others and he decided to put you on his back so your wing wouldn't be moved as much and ran over to Michael and Lucifer. Once they both caught a glimpse they instantly ran over to you two and told Gabriel to lay you down on your stomach. Once you had been flatly on the ground Michael and Lucifer gently put their hands on the injured wing and a white light came from their hands and the gash slowly healed to a small scratch. Which in the end still took time away from learning to fly and Gabriel had offered to play with you on the ground so you wouldn't feel so alone and left out. From that day on you and Gabriel became best friends and Michael and Lucifer became more and more like older over protective brothers. They all taught you a bunch of new things and Lucifer started teaching you how to fight hand to hand and sword combat which he was amazed when you exceeded his expectations.

Thinking back on it all it was a good thing you fell in that tree and met them. After a while you manage to fall asleep even though you didn't require sleep it was still a way to pass time faster and old habits die hard.

You woke up a couple hours later to someone calling your name. Once you fully got up you looked around for the source to come find Castiel waiting in the corner till you said it was alright to walk around. You wondered why he still did that even when you watched over him in the garden he would always ask permission to do something. You weren't going to deny it was great to ask first but you had told him he didn't need to ask to come into your garden and that he was welcomed any time. Oh well Castiel will never change you guessed.

"Hey Cas what's up?" You asked with a smile as you led him back to the opening to watch the humans. "I wanted to ask how the patrolling went." Castiel said as he sat down and looked over to his father’s creations. "It went great." You said as you pulled your knees to your chest and glanced at Castiel. His face seem to be more relaxed when he just stares off admiring something. Even if Lucifer disagreed about the new creations there was nothing wrong with them. They are meant to be flawed so they would be different. "So Castiel you nervous about joining a garrison?" You asked as you got up to stretch your back. "Not really since I know I am on your garrison. I would at least know someone." He replied as he followed your actions and stood up. "Well we meet up in two days. We could always spar tomorrow if you want to. And you are welcomed here anytime if you’re just bored and need something to do."  You smiled as Castiel thought about it. "Could we spar? I would like to practice more if you wouldn't mind teaching me that is." He asked as he looked up and thought more into things than he should have. "How about we practice tomorrow morning. Sound good?" You asked as you walked through the garden heading towards the fountain to sit along it. "Yes tomorrow morning will be good. I must be going now." Castiel said as he flew off to god knows where.

After a while it got boring having nothing to do so you decided to go to Lucifer’s Garden to see what he was up to. "Lucifer!" you called as you arrived and walked around hearing two swords collide. Slightly amazed as you saw Gabriel and Lucifer still going at it. "Wow still sparing I see" You laughed a little and took a seat on a nearby bench to watch them spar. "Just getting started." You heard Lucifer say as he managed to trip Gabriel. "Still got a lot to learn little brother." Lucifer smiled down at Gabriel. "Want to take a break?" Gabriel asked as he got up and dusted off his pants. "Sure" Lucifer said putting his sword down as him and Gabriel walk over to sit by you. "So what is this I hear about a new garrison?" Lucifer asked as he smiled down at you. "I finally got my own garrison. I also know one of the angels within my garrison." You replied smiling up at the two. "Well who is it?" Gabriel asked as he set down the sword. "Hmmm. If you guys could beat me then I will tell ya." You said smirking. "Consider that challenge accepted." Gabriel smirked as he got up and Lucifer grabbed his sword and tossed you one. "We could do this right luci?" Gabriel said as he stood next to his older brother. "I think so." Lucifer said as Gabriel made the first move.
You quickly saw him move the sword upwards for an upper attack. You smirked and made a counter attack by bringing your sword to match and made a side step and moved towards your left. Lucifer tried to come from behind and do a surprise attack but you already expected something like this from the two and you quickly dropped the counter and grabbed Gabriel’s arm and swiftly slid your foot behind his ankle causing him to loose balance and you took the chance to flip him over your shoulder towards Lucifer. "Is that all you can do?" You said as you put your defense back up. "Were just getting started" Lucifer said as he pulled out his wings and flew behind you. Gabriel caught on quickly and started advancing towards you as Lucifer did the same. When they were close enough Gabriel advanced and swung his sword to the right aiming for the stomach and Lucifer did the same aiming for the middle back. You quickly thought of a counter and you dropped to the floor and kicked Lucifer's ankle making him loose his balance and drop his grip on his sword. You caught his sword and brought both swords down to Gabriel’s sword making him struggle to hold a grip on his sword. You twisted both swords and turned the sword so his wrist would be at and uncomfortable angle and finished the move off with a quick kick to his ankle making him loose his footing and fall to the floor. "As a reward for your hard efforts I'll tell ya." You smiled down at the two who were on the floor holding their ankles for a couple seconds till they healed. You handed their swords back and sat down. They followed and set their swords down on their sides and looked towards you expectantly. "Michael put Castiel in my garrison" You said as you smiled widely. "Really he's finally able to go into a garrison?" Lucifer asked as he returned the smile. "He's finally growing up, huh" Gabriel asked as he got up with a smile plastered to his face. "Ready to start back up Luci?" Gabriel asked as he wielded his sword once again. "Sure little brother." Lucifer got up from his spot and grabbed his sword. "Oh also _____ where did you learn how to fight?" Gabriel asked as he looked towards you. "Actually Lucifer taught me most of it and the rest comes naturally." You said with a light chuckle hearing one follow from Lucifer. "And I sure did a great freaking job with that." He said as him and Gabriel resumed their sword fight.

By the time the two ended it was nearly dawn so you decided to head back to your garden to meet up with Castiel. Just as you arrived Castiel had appeared a minute later. "Hey there Castiel! You ready?" You asked as you brought out two swords and decided the other thing you would teach him is hand to hand. "Castiel do you want to do Hand-to-hand combat or sword fighting first." You asked as you turned to look at him. "Hand to hand!" He commented quickly the look on face was full of eagerness and determination.  You smiled at his expression "Okay Castiel, I will teach you most of what I know." You smiled as you explained what to do and what stances to use for which defense or attack.

After half the day he gotten way better than what they teach in the training Gardens. He even manage to almost get a hit on you. Even Lucifer couldn't get that close after he trained you. "Okay Castiel, ready for swords?" You asked as you grabbed two swords and threw him one which he barely caught a little shocked but still took the stance you told him. After all day of training Castiel had picked up new techniques that he liked and he was getting better each time you told him of something new. The aftermath of all the training resulted in you two just hanging around and you teaching Castiel some new references so he could at least understand a little bit of jokes even though he still had a little bit of trouble understanding them. This carried on until it was time to meet all the other angels that would be in your garrison.

You and Castiel arrived a little bit earlier than expect so the two of you just decided that you'll wait for the other two to arrive before you go to Michael for the first mission of the day.
After about what felt like thirty minutes later an angel flies over and seemed pretty confused as to where he was going. "You need some help there?" You asked as he look towards any other angels that were in the area. "Um yes I believe so I can't seem to find my Garrison. Today’s my first day and I am kinda late. Do you know where _____'s Garrison is supposed to be?" He asked finally looking at you. "You’re staring at it. This is your Garrison. I will be leading this garrison and I hope you have a great time here." You chuckle lightly with a small smile gracing your features. "Oh okay. I am Amitiel it’s nice to meet you." The young angel gave a goofy lopsided smile as he looked around. "I am _____ and this is Castiel." You said as you pointed over to Castiel. Castiel tapped your shoulder alerting you that the other angel had appeared. "Hello." You all turned to look at the one who just landed in behind you. "Oh hello you must be our final member?" You said as you look at his face. Taking note of his dark green eyes and the grin plastered on his face. "Ah yes! I am Henry." His grin turned to a smile as he extended his right hand for a hand shake. "Nice to meet you I am _____." You replied grabbing his hand and shaking it for formalities. "Okay well we better head over to Michael for our first mission." You said as you turned and started heading towards Michael’s office. "Hey Castiel, have you talked to Gabriel yet?" you asked as you reached Michael’s office. "No, I haven't seen him for a while." He replied as you knocked on the door. "Okay." Hearing Michael say “come in” you quickly walk in with the others following in toe. "Are you ready to start your first mission?" he asked as he looked up from his desk. ''Yes sir." Came your quick reply. "Okay. We will start you off with patrolling earth. Report back around noon. To switch with another garrison." He said as he looked back down at his desk reading a paper most likely a report on how things were going at the East gates. "Yes sir" You said as you walked out of the room with the others following and headed outside. "You guys ready?" You asked as you turned to look at all three of them. When they all nodded in agreement you took off towards earth to start patrolling.

Patrolling was at first easy till some demons were spotted which resulted in you flying down and smiting them so they are not able to return back to hell and the others watching to learn how to take down demons quickly without any casualties. Every time another demon would appear they would practice what you showed them. Once they all caught on, patrolling became a little bit easier not having to worry about injuries. Around noon you and your garrison started to head back, but before you could reach heaven you noticed a group of at least twenty four demons heading on their way up probably some of them that advanced from the East. Once you saw them you ordered Amitiel and Henry to go and tell Michael quickly, which the two reluctantly agreed to and took off faster. Once the two had sped up and went to report the demons you and Castiel stood in front of the demons blocking their path from entering and earning unpleasant glares and snarls from each demon. You could tell Castiel was a little nervous but he still stood by your side. You turned to him and gave him the best smile you could muster up. "It’s going to be okay Castiel. We'll take'em down." You said as you turned your head back towards the demons as one made of them made their first advancement towards the right and another demon heading towards the left for a double hit on Castiel. You quickly drew your sword Lucifer gave you and took down the one on the left and Castiel took the one on the right. You and Castiel took a stance back to back as the demons circled the two of you and started attacking at random places hitting any open areas.

As Amitiel and Henry flew faster to Michael they managed to get there in under 10 minutes. The two ran into his office and Amitiel told Michael of the demons and the numbers, so he called in most of the angels he had off duty at the moment, which wasn't that many due to the increased amount of demon activity towards the East. Michael managed to call in Gabriel and Lucifer with Raphael and Uriel since they all appeared quicker than all the other Angels. "What’s happening?" Gabriel asked as he look towards Michael with a worry filled expression. "_____ and her Garrison have spotted over twenty demons. As we speak, _____ and Castiel are holding them off hurry over to their location and assist them immediately. Amitiel and Henry shall lead you to them. Hurry little brother time may not be in our favor this time." Michael said as he watched them all run off and head towards you and Castiel.

You and Castiel had been doing good taking down two or three each when they would try to make quick team attacks, but the odds quickly changed when a demon had went behind Castiel and kicked Castiel in his rib cage hard enough causing a loud crack and him to double over in pain. Once seeing Castiel go down, you were quick to smite all the demons around him which were about two, you really didn't notice all you could care about was keeping him safe. It still left around ten demons to deal with. They attacked in pairs putting advantage over you but you managed to block most of them and keep the attention away from Castiel. In the corner of your eye you saw Castiel looking towards you with pain filled eyes. You gave him a reassuring smile that everything would be okay. As one demon tried to attack you managed to cut their thigh causing them to go down a little and from behind them you saw Gabriel and the others on their way in the distance. You would have to hold out for a couple more minutes. As the first of the ten demons started attacking again you managed to dodge most of the hits until one grabbed your right wing and yanked you down towards two of them. The one that grabbed your wing managed to cut a huge gash in the arch of your wing causing you to scream out in pain. Gabriel sped up trying to make it to you before any more damage could happen. The two demons pulled your other wing out of place which disabled your ability to fly and hold your weight correctly and they dropped you over the edge blood staining their hands and your wings. You looked towards Castiel as he tried getting up to go after you but the horror that filled his eyes you managed to mutter 'I'm sorry' as you fell over the edge. Gabriel and Lucifer watched in horror as you were dropped over the edge and screamed out your name only to have it fall on deaf ears. Gabriel had taken out two quickly, Lucifer had taken out three and helped Uriel and Raphael take out the rest. Amitiel and Henry went and grabbed Castiel who was still in pain as his rib cage healed. Gabriel quickly went to go fly down to find you but when he went down he was not able to find a trace of your grace nor your body and where it landed.
